The engraving scripture in Buddhist grottoes is a unique type of Buddhist engraving in China.While developing in China,it experienced the historical process of germination,prosperity and extinction which reflected the historical appearance of Chinese Buddhism.The formation has a connection with the development and influence of Chinese engraving,and also has a natural close relationship with the excavation of Chinese Buddhist grotto and some cognition or belief of Chinese Buddhism.
