摘要
本研究从设计和用户体验两个角度关注移动学习中英语词汇App的学习者评价。首先,以学生广泛使用的英语词汇App为例,对其设计特点进行介绍和分析,并对英语学习者开展问卷调查以探析学习者对词汇App设计和用户体验两方面的评价。利用Antconc软件,从设计的四个维度对开放式问题的回答进行概括分析,以归纳使用词汇App的学习者的需求。研究发现:在学习者需求中呼声最高的趣味性并没有在App学习中得到满足;由于一些功能和资源的商业化,学习资源的自由获取受到限制,削弱了学习的积极性和有效性;学习者渴求App提供策略学习和监督机制来指导和督促学习过程。最后,以学习者需求为依据,对词汇App的设计和使用提出了建议。
This study concerns the use of English vocabulary Apps in mobile learning with a focus on user satisfaction towards design and user experience.A widely-used English vocabulary App was introduced to offer a general idea about the design of vocabulary Apps.Questionnaire survey was conducted to acquire learners’perceptions on the use of the Apps.Answers for the semi-structured questions in the survey were analyzed via the software Antconc on the basis of the lexical analysis by ICTCLAS.The study finds that the top learner need,expectation for enjoyment and interest,has not been lived up to.Moreover,access to learning resources is restricted due to commercialization of functions and resources in the Apps,which impairs learner motivation and effectiveness.Learners are in strong need for strategy instructions and approaches to guide the learning and monitor the learning process.Consequently,measures for the improvement in the design and use of the Apps are discussed according to the learner needs.
