语言政策及规划领域的一位多产研究者——悼念罗伯特·卡普兰先生

An Overview of a Prolific Researcher in LPP —— In Memory of Robert B. Kaplan

罗伯特·卡普兰是美国南加州大学语言学系的荣休教授,是语言政策及规划领域的一位多产大咖。卡普兰教授于2020年2月在美国逝世,为了悼念他,本文简要地回顾了他的学术生涯,总结了他在语言政策及规划领域的研究成果,点评了他的学术探索特点。但愿他的学术生涯、研究成果及探索精神能给我国语言政策及规划研究者带来某些启发,进而促进该学科在中国的发展。

Robert B.Kaplan,who is an emeritus professor of Applied Linguistics in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Southern California,and who is a prolific researcher in language policy and planning(LPP),passed away in America in February,2020.In memory of Professor Kaplan,this paper is to give a brief account of his scholarly career as well as his academic achievements in LPP,and also to offer a succinct review about his research.It is hoped that his scholarly career,academic achievements and research spirit will be of reference for LPP researchers in China and be beneficial to the advancement of LPP in China.
