At present, the research on the speech communities in European and American countries is quite mature, but there are few systematic works on the language life in Asian countries, especially the language situation of young people. Popular Culture, Voice and Linguistic Diversity: Young Adults On-and Offline, edited by S. Wright and H. Kelly-Holmes,was published by Springer in 2018. Taking Mongolia and Bangladesh as the background, this book makes an in-depth observation of young adults ’ language practices based on the"transglossic framework". Its experience can not only enrich global sociolinguistic research but also describe, explain and predict the development of speech patterns and behaviors through the Internet age in a better way.
