逻辑实证主义指导下的西方主流社会科学,本身就披着"国王的新衣",它们标榜自己的知识活动最符合科学准则,而完全无视20世纪60年代以后科学哲学理论与科学史研究的长足进步。在库恩提出科学革命的结构理论之后,逻辑实证主义早已被批评得体无完肤,它的科学哲学理论严重误解了自然科学知识活动的本质。这种方法论上严重的脱节和滞后状态,导致西方主流社会科学在学术研究和理论建构方面出现各种偏差,更是无力回应当前历史结构剧烈变化与西方社会政治经济危机所带来的知识挑战。

The Western mainstream social scientists have been following the guidance of logic positivism for decades.This makes their scientific claim increasingly looks like“the Emperor's new clothes”.They are ignorant of the latest developments in the philosophy of science and history of science while still taking pride in their scientific status.In fact,the basic tenets of logic positivism were declared defunct in light of Thomas Kuhn's work on Structure of Scientific Revolution.It has also been shown that logical positivists seriously misunderstood the essences of natural science.The Western mainstream social scientists are paying a high price for their ignorance.Their intellectual enterprise becomes deplorably hapless and irrelevant in grasping the on-going restructuring of global order and the deep economic and political crisis that Western societies are facing today.
