The Concept and Significance of Historical Politics——An Outline

"历史政治学"这个概念,有两种界定的可能。一种是以人类政治史为研究对象,在人类所有政治现象中重建政治的合理目标及理论构架。另一种是基于传统政治思想资源,在论证其核心政治理念恒定意义的基础上充分阐释现代政治现象。前者主要借鉴历史学的视野与方法,或称"历史学的历史政治学";而后者秉持某种传统政治理念,或称"传统的历史政治学"。历史政治学关注现实,是一种社会实践,但不是国家治理学。

There are two possible definitions of the concept of"historical politics".One is to take the human political history as the research object to reconstruct the rational goal and theoretical framework of politics in all the political phenomena of human beings.The other is to fully explain modern political phenomena on the basis of demonstrating the constant meaning of its core political ideas based on traditional political thought resources.The former refers mainly to the vision and method of history,or"historical politics of history";The latter holds a certain traditional political idea,or"traditional historical politics".Historical politics focuses on reality and is a social practice,but not the study of national governance.
