摘要
华文教育实践是海外华人传承语言文化、塑造身份认同的重要工具,同时也是海外华人应对当地社会环境及政治生态的重要策略。本文以在缅甸曼德勒长期的田野调查为基础,呈现当地华人的日常生活及社会边缘地位,分析华文教育与其社会边缘地位之间的关系,并指出华文教育既是缅甸华人建构在当地的集体意识、加强社会团结的工具,也是他们追逐权力的场域。
The practice of overseas Chinese education is an important tool for overseas Chinese to inherit the Chinese language and culture,and the shape of their identity.At the same time,it is also an important strategy for overseas Chinese to respond to the local social environment and its political ecology.For a long time,the ethnic Chinese in Myanmar have always been at the edge of society and politics,their living conditions and strategies are deeply reflected in the practice of overseas Chinese education.Based on the long-term field investigation in Mandalay,this paper presents the daily life and the marginalized social status of local Chinese.It analyzes the relationship between overseas Chinese education and their marginalized social status,and points out that the overseas Chinese education is not only a tool for the ethnic Chinese in Myanmar to build their collective consciousness and strengthen their social solidarity,but also a field for them to pursue the power.
