Objective The clinical characteristics of 358 patients with fever to be investigated(FUO)were analyzed to provide reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of fever to be investigated. Methods A retrospective analysis of 358 patients with fever who were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 1,2019 to January 1,2020.They were divided into 3 categories:infectious diseases(259 cases),non-infectious fever(76 cases)and undiagnosed(23 cases),and their clinical characteristics were analyzed. Results The number of days in hospital of the non-infectious disease group was(16.21±111.74)longer than that in the infectious disease group(9.82±16.51),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Among infectious diseases,212 cases(81.9%)of bacterial infection were the most common.9 cases of brucellosis(2.51%)and 41 cases of tuberculosis infection(11.45%)were found in atypical pathogens.Non-infectious diseases were more common in 39 cases(51.3%)of unclassified connective tissue diseases. Conclusion FUO patients should be comprehensively analyzed according to epidemic history, clinical manifestations, signs and laboratory indicators in the process of diagnosis and treatment,so as to make a clear diagnosis as soon as possible.
