林语堂《浮生六记》英译本中语境意义探析

Analysis of Contextual Meanings in Lin Yutang's English Translation of Six Chapters of a Floating Life

《浮生六记》乃清朝沈复之佳作,其以夫妇生活作为主轴,言辞质朴纯真,描绘出了一幅蕴含生活气息的美妙图景。文学翻译需完整再现原作审美内涵,使译作在译语环境中保持生命力。文章基于刘宓庆翻译意义理论中的语境意义视角,从五个方面分析林语堂《浮生六记》英译本中语境对意义的调节机制,以助文学翻译学者和爱好者理解文学翻译并提升能力。

Six Chapters of a Floating Life,a masterpiece by Shen Fu in the Qing Dynasty,centers on the life of the couple as the main spindle,and its words are plain and innocent,portraying a beautiful scene containing the atmosphere of life.Literary translation is required to replicate the aesthetic implication of the original work in its entirety,so as to make the translated work maintain its vitality in the target language setting.Based on the perspective of contextual meaning in Liu Miqing's translation meaning theory,this paper analyzes the adjustment mechanism of context on meaning in Lin Yutang's English translation of Six Chapters of a Floating Life from five aspects,so as to help literary translation scholars and enthusiasts understand literary translation and improve their abilities.
