In the digital age,courses of English major in higher education should embrace digital transformation.There are some problems in English debate course,such as limited practice time,insufficient preparation,and students'being afraid of difficulties.As an English major course that emphasizes practice and ability cultivation,English debate course needs to conform to the trend of The Times,promote the transformation of teachers'teaching concepts,establish a multi-directional interactive classroom communication mode,improve students'independent learning ability,critical thinking ability and comprehensive language application ability,and cultivate international talents who can adapt to the digital era.
