Starting from the relationship between cross-cultural communication and English teaching,this article explores English teaching methods from a cross-cultural perspective,including communicative approach,task-based teaching method,situational teaching method,and cultural introduction method.These teaching methods have significant effects on improving students'practical English proficiency and cross-cultural communication skills.The research shows that the cultivation of cross-cultural communication skills should be integrated into all aspects of English teaching,emphasizing the comprehensive development of listening,speaking,reading,and writing abilities.Teachers should design realistic and challenging tasks based on the actual needs and interests of students,increase their participation,enable them to experience different cultures in language practice,and cultivate their cross-cultural awareness.
