《傲慢与偏见》的背景是18世纪末19世纪初,那时的英国乡镇极具保守色彩,消息闭塞,作者利用细腻的文字充分描绘了此背景下的世态人情。为此笔者选取《傲慢与偏见》,以语用文体学为理论背景,运用其中两个经典理论——合作原则和言语行为理论,对《傲慢与偏见》中的人物形象和对话特点进行分析,研究文体语用功能,旨在探究作者奥斯汀是如何巧妙地设计对话来塑造人物形象,并且揭露社会问题,从而帮助读者更好地理解小说中语言蕴含的深层含义以及丰富特点。

The background of Pride and Prejudice is the late 18th century and the early 19th century.At that time,English towns and villages were very conservative and the news was blocked.The writer fully described the world and human feelings in this background with delicate words.Therefore,the author chooses the novel Pride and Prejudice,and uses classic theories-cooperative principle and speech acting theory to analyze the characters in Pride and Prejudice and study the pragmatic functions of the style,aiming at exploring how Austin skillfully designed dialogues to shape the characters and expose social problems,which helps readers to better understand the deep meaning and rich features of the language in the novel.
