高校英语教学不仅要丰富学生的理论知识,也要培养学生的听说读写译综合能力。尤其是在新文科建设背景下,高校英语教学更要创新英语教学理念和教学模式,提升高校英语的教学质量。以赛促学能够在英语赛事的支持下,使学生习得英语知识、实践英语能力,有效提升高校英语教学质量。基于此,文章分析了基于以赛促学的高校英语教学价值,围绕以赛促学教学模式提出了几点高校英语教学实践策略,推动学生综合能力的发展。

College English teaching should not only enrich students'theoretical knowledge,but also cultivate their comprehensive abilities in listening,speaking,reading,writing,and translation.Especially in the context of the construction of new liberal arts,English teaching in universities needs to innovate English teaching concepts and models,and improve the quality of English teaching in universities.With the support of English competitions,promoting learning through competitions can enable students to acquire English knowledge and practice English skills,effectively improving the quality of English teaching in universities.Based on this,this article analyzes the value of college English teaching based on the concept of promoting learning through competitions,and several practical strategies for college English teaching are proposed around the teaching model of promoting learning through competitions to promote the development of students'comprehensive abilities.
