基于自建语料库的中医典故名称英译方法探析

Analysis of Chinese Medicine Allusions Based on Self-built Corpus

中医药文化是中华民族的历史瑰宝。中医内容广泛,包罗万象,特色之一便是典故众多。中医典故兼具科技性和文学性,其名称的翻译在传播中医药文化过程中起着至关重要的作用,直接关系到受众的理解和兴趣。文章选取《中医典故》双语版为素材,自建小型中医双语语料库,从整体上总结归纳中医典故名的语言特征,对语料库译文进行深入分析,以尝试提出有效的翻译方法,促进中医文化传播。

The culture of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is a historical treasure of the Chinese nation.Its content is extensive and all-encompassing,and one of its features is numerous allusions.TCM allusions are both scientific and literary,the translation of their names playing a crucial role in the process of spreading TCM culture,which is directly related to the readers’understanding and interest.This paper selects the book Compendium of Chinese Medical Wisdom as the material to build a small bilingual corpus,summarizes the overall linguistic features of TCM allusions,makes an in-depth analysis of the corpus translation,trying to put forward effective translation methods and strive to promote the spread of TCM culture.
