Grammar metaphor is an important concept in systematic functional linguistics,which reveals the complex relationship between form and meaning in language use.In traditional rhetoric studies,metaphor is regarded as a rhetorical means,while in systematic functional linguistics,grammatical metaphor is regarded as a common phenomenon of language use.However,grammatical metaphors have not received enough attention in language use in specific fields,especially in English legal discourse.Legal language is a highly standardized language,and the use of its language has a clear intention and function.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to deeply study the grammatical metaphors in English legal discourse.This paper aims to study the grammar metaphor phenomenon in English legal discourse and analyze its function and function in legal discourse.
