Cultural confidence is an important concept that has been promoted and permeated by the country in various fields in recent years.It helps the people form a value recognition of our local culture by promoting excellent ethnic and folk culture.As a foreign language,the learning process of English is more easily influenced by Western culture.Therefore,integrating the concept of cultural confidence into the entire process of English teaching in universities is a major issue that requires the efforts of all faculty and staff.The paper first clarifies the specific meaning of cultural confidence in English teaching in the new era,and deeply analyzes the difficulties faced by college English on the path of practical innovation under the background of cultural confidence.Finally,based on practical teaching experience,it summarizes the reform strategies of college English teaching based on the concept of cultural confidence from different perspectives.
