目的论视角下《论语》文化词汇翻译策略对比研究——以理雅各、辜鸿铭《论语》英译本为例

Comparative Research on Cultural Vocabulary Translation Strategies in the Analects of Confucius from the Perspective of Skopos Theory——Taking the English translation of the Analects of Confucius by Legge and Gu Hongming as an example

现如今,中国对文化的重视程度越来越高,让国内优秀文化走出去,将国外优秀文化引进来是树立文化自信的重要途径之一。文章基于奈达(1993)[1]所提出的目的论三原则,结合《论语》中各篇章节的内容,将理雅各译本(1893)[2]、辜鸿铭译本(1898)[3]作为研究对象,对其中具有代表性的词汇翻译进行对比,从而探讨出更加适合文化外译的方法。

Nowadays,Chinese culture has greatly drawn people's attention,and it is one of the important measures to establish cultural self-confidence by spreading the domestic excellent culture going out and bringing in the foreign excellent culture.Based on the three principles of Skopos Theory put forward by Nida,this paper combines the contents of sections of The Analects of Confucius,which takes the Legge's translation(1893)and Gu Hongming's translation(1898)as the research object,and compares the translation of the representative vocabulary about them,so as to explore the more suitable methods for translating culture to foreign countries.
