摘要
文章立足莱克夫和约翰逊提出的概念隐喻理论,结合夏弗纳关于隐喻的翻译策略,从实体隐喻、结构隐喻和方位隐喻三个方面,对龚景浩的《将进酒》英译本中概念隐喻的认知机制及翻译情况进行分析,总结了与跨域映射有关的三种翻译策略:转换源语意象目标域为目的语意象目标域,转换源语意象目标域为目的语的对应意象始源域,省略源语意象。研究结果表明,认知语言学为诗歌隐喻的英译提供了新的解释路径,为《将进酒》的英译和欣赏提供一个新的研究视角。
Based on the conceptual metaphor theory proposed by Lakoff and Johnson,and combining with Schäffner's translation strategy of metaphor,this paper analyzes the cognitive mechanism and translation of conceptual metaphor in Gong Jinghao's English translation from three aspects:ontological metaphor,structural metaphor and orientation metaphor.Three translation strategies related to crossdomain mapping are summarized:transforming the target domain of the source language image into that of the target language image;transforming the target domain of the source language image into that of the target language image;omitting the source language image in the target language.The research shows that cognitive linguistics provides a new approach to the translation of poetic metaphors into English and a new perspective for the translation and appreciation of the poem.
