基于CSE量表的大学英语四级阅读试题研究

An Analysis of the CET-4 Reading Tests on the Basis of China Standards of English

《中国英语能力等级量表》(CSE,以下简称《量表》)是我国第一个针对英语学习者和使用者的统一的英语评价标准,对大学生的英语学习和考试有着深远的影响。文章以《量表》为基础,从文本类型、话题类别和认知能力的维度,对大学英语四级阅读试题进行标注和分析,总结了大学英语四级阅读考试的命题特点。研究结果表明,大学英语四级阅读理解试题涵盖《量表》中提到的四种文本类型,涉及广泛的话题,侧重对识别提取能力和概括分析能力的考查。根据分析,文章对提高大学生阅读理解能力的具体策略提出了相关建议。

China Standards of English(CSE),the first unified English language assessment standard for English learners in China,provides a common foundation for exams and exerts a profound influence on English learning and testing.Based on CSE,the current research conducts a coding of the selected CET-4 reading test papers from the dimensions of text type,topic and cognitive ability.The results show that the CET-4 reading tests contain four main text types,cover a large range of topics,and put more emphasis on the testing of the identifying ability and the analyzing ability.According to the analysis,this paper makes some suggestions on the concrete strategy of the improvement of college students'English reading ability.
