With the deepening of globalization,language policy and cross-cultural communication have become increasingly important issues in today's world.Language,as a medium of human culture and communication,plays a key role,not only reflecting the cultural identity of the country and society,but also having a profound impact on international exchanges,economic cooperation and social integration.This paper aims to explore the influence of language policies in the English language cultural system on cross-cultural communication.Firstly,it introduces the connotation of language policy and cross-cultural communication.Secondly,the positive and negative effects of English language policies on cross-cultural communication are analyzed.Finally,suggestions on the positive factors of language policy to promote cross-cultural communication is proposed.It is hoped that this article can provide certain useful references for language policy makers,educational institutions and international communicators.
