大学英语读写课程中采用阅读圈教学模式的学习成效调查——学生视角

摘要 文章对国内某重点高校非英语专业本科生(N=55)进行了调查,从学生视角探究了在大学英语读写课程中采用阅读圈教学模式的成效。实证研究结果显示,学生在感知有用性、自我效能、情感和行为四个维度均对阅读圈持积极态度,他们对阅读圈模式的新颖性及其可以有效提升语言能力、批判性思维和小组合作方面都给予了肯定。同时,学生反馈也揭示了在阅读圈模式本土化过程中需要注意的问题。文章的研究发现对大学英语读写类课程设计和英语读写教学都具有一定的参考价值。 This article reports on a study conducted with 55 non-English major undergraduate students at a prestigious university in China,exploring the effectiveness of using Reading Circles in English reading and writing courses from the perspective of students.Empirical research results show that students have a positive attitude towards Reading Circles regarding usefulness,self-efficacy,emotion,and behavior.They recognize the novelty of the reading circle model and its ability to effectively enhance language learning,critical thinking,and group cooperation.At the same time,students’feedback also revealed issues that need to be addressed during the localization process of Reading Circles.The findings of this study may have pedagogical implications for EFL class design and language teaching.
