Application-oriented colleges and universities aim at serving local regional economic and social development.In recent years,the Ministry of Education of China has been promoting and guiding the transformation of some universities into application-oriented universities.As one of the compulsory courses for college students in China,the effective reform and optimization of college English curriculum has a profound impact on the construction of application-oriented universities.Based on the construction of application-oriented universities,this paper explores the reform and optimization of college English to promote the transformation of application-oriented universities.
