TEM8课堂教学现状反思及建议——以高级翻译学院为例

高校外语专业教学测试办公室在2015年8月发布了《关于英语专业八级考试(TEM8)题型调整的说明》,引起了全国英语专业教师和学生的广泛关注。文章以研究者辅导西安翻译学院高级翻译学院两届学生的TEM8课程为基础,分别对听力、阅读理解、改错、翻译和写作五个方面的教学内容现状进行了分析,随后在反思的基础上提出了相关建议,以期帮助高级翻译学院更多学生顺利通过该考试。

In August 2015,the Teaching and Testing Office for Foreign Language Majors in Colleges and Universities released“Explanation on the Adjustment of the Question Type of the Test for English Majors-Band 8(TEM8)”,which has aroused widespread concern among English majors’teachers and students nationwide.Based on the TEM8 course in which the author tutored students from the School of Translation Studies of Xi’an Fanyi University,this paper analyzes the current situation of the teaching contents in five aspects of listening,reading,error correction,translation and writing respectively,and then puts forward relevant suggestions on the basis of reflection,with a view to helping more students from the School of Translation Studies to successfully pass the exam.
