浅析莎士比亚戏剧中的英语构词法

莎士比亚的词汇运用是一个历久弥新的课题。在以往的研究中,不同学者从不同角度对莎翁的用词进行了解读,并且已经取得了丰硕的研究成果。文章是从最基本的构词法切入,通过分析莎士比亚惯常使用的英语构词方式来展现其深厚的语言功底和文学造诣,从而总结出莎士比亚为现代英语发展做出的卓越贡献。文中的语料均来自莎士比亚戏剧英汉平行语料库,囊括了莎翁的多部戏剧作品,其中包含许多通过复合、转类和派生等主要构词法创造出的新词,充分体现了莎士比亚在词汇上的大胆创新以及在使用上的匠心独运。

Shakespeare’s use of vocabulary is an enduring research subject.In previous studies,different scholars have interpreted Shakespeare’s words from different perspectives,and have achieved fruitful research results.This paper starts from the most basic word construction method by analyzing the usual use of English word formation,and thus summarizes Shakespeare’s outstanding contribution to the development of modern English.The corpus in the text comes from the Anglo-Han parallel corpus of Shakespeare Drama,including Shakespeare’s theatrical works,many of which are created by composite,transformation and derivative methods.The new words fully reflect Shakespeare’s bold innovation in vocabulary and ingenuity in use.
