剑桥商务英语证书考试对中国商务英语教学导向和学生就业影响的研究

剑桥商务英语证书(BEC)是当今测试考生商务英语水准的一项全球性权威性测试,得到全球高校和外企的高度认可。随着商务英语专业在中国高校的普及,越来越多的高校选择于教学中引入剑桥商务英语课程。基于BEC考试的权威性,其相关考核和教学资源等也成为中国商务英语教学的风向标。文章搜集各类考试和就业数据,并对各类英语测试作出相关的比较研究,以分析剑桥商务英语证书考试在中国商务英语教学中的地位和作用,以及取得剑桥商务英语证书对商务英语专业学生就业的影响。在实证研究的基础上得出如何进一步改进商务英语教学以培养更高社会认可度的商务英语专业学生。

Cambridge Business English Certificate(BEC)is a global authoritative exam to test the examinee’s Business English level.It has been highly recognized by universities and foreign companies worldwide.With the popularity of Business English major at colleges and universities in China,Cambridge Business English course has been introduced into professional English teaching system.Based on the authority of BEC exam,the relevant assessment materials and teaching resources have also become the wind vane for business English teaching in China.This paper collects varieties of exams and employment data,and conducts some comparative researches on relevant issues,in order to analyze the status and role of BEC exam in business English teaching system in China,and its impact on employment of business English majors who have obtained BEC.On the basis of the empirical study,it puts forward suggestions on how to improve Business English teaching and how to cultivate Business English majors with higher social recognition.
