摘要
《综合英语》是面向英语专业低年级开设的一门主干基础课程,具有教学内容丰富、教学目标多元的特点。如何高效利用课堂提升学生的语言基础和思辨能力应该是《综英》教师始终思考的问题。而"对分课堂"是由复旦大学教授张学新基于我国教学现实提出的教学模式,在许多综英课堂都取得了成功。该教学模式是否适用于所有高校课堂,应用时应注意哪些方面?文章基于在某地方应用型高校进行的为期一学年的对分实践提出了一些教学思考。
Integrated Englishis a compulsory foundation course designed for freshmen of English majors.With rich content and multiple teaching goals,the course has always been a challenge to all instructors,namely,how to better improve students’language skills as well as their critical thinking ability within limited weekly hours.PAD,short for Presentation-Assimilation-Discussion,a teaching model put forward by Fudan University professor,Zhang Xuexin,based on national teaching realities,has been proven to be successful in many colleagues’class.So will this model be a remedy for all?Or what should instructors focus on when applying this model?The paper tries to answer these questions based on one-year PAD practice in a local application-oriented university.
