汉译英中名词赘余问题的研究

Noun redundancy is usually regarded as a pathological phenomenon in translation,which is especially common in Chinese-English translation activities.This paper mainly focuses on analyzing the causes of the noun redundancy in Chinese-English translation and how to avoid the use of noun redundancy,especially the over use of abstract nouns in category nouns’translation and English version,by using omission,literal and free translation methods based on the differences between Chinese and English.It is hoped that this paper may contribute to the studies of noun redundancy in Chinese-English translation,and promote the development of related linguistic phenomena and translation studies.
