乔治·斯坦纳翻译四步骤中译者主体性的体现——以《海风下》汉译本为例

英国翻译理论家乔治·斯坦纳提出的翻译四步骤理论,为译者的相关研究提供了新的理论依据和视角。《海风下》是美国生态文学作家蕾切尔·卡逊的处女作,是一部勾勒海洋和生命共同体的传记。《海风下》的首译本由译者尹萍所翻译,译本质量较高,内容较忠实于原文,语言风格也与原作相近。文章以乔治·斯坦纳的阐释翻译理论四步骤为理论指导,蕾切尔·卡逊的生态小说《海风下》汉译本为研究对象,将译者主体性介入到四步骤中,分析其在译本中的体现。

George Steiner,a British translation theorist,put forward the fourfold translation motion theory,which provides a new theoretical basis and research method for the study of translator’s subjectivity.Under the Sea Wind is the first work of famous American writer Rachel Carson,it is a biography outlining the community between ocean and life.The first translation version was worked out by Yin Ping.The quality of Yin’s translation is high,the content is faithful,and her language style is similar to the source text.Guided by George Steiner’s fourfold translation motion theory,with the Chinese version of Under the Sea Wind as the research object,this paper aims to explore the translator’s subjectivity in the four specific translation steps and analyzes its embodiment in the translation.
