As an important part of China’s higher education system in the new era,local universities play an important role in the regional economic and social development,shoulder the great responsibility of cultivating high-quality talents and providing scientific and intellectual support for regional economic and social development,and serve as a powerful engine for local economic and social development.Taking the local university English major as an example,the paper focuses on the reform and practice of the training of applied English talents for teaching,so as to provide useful reference for relevant universities.
