功能对等视角下的《西太平洋的航海者》第三章第一节两种译本的对比分析

《西太平洋的航海者》由人类学家马林诺夫斯基所著,是经济人类学的奠基之作,其中译本翻译是否准确会影响我国读者对库拉制度以及作者所倡导的参与观察方法的认识。文章尝试结合功能对等理论,选取梁永佳和李绍明两位译者于2002年由华夏出版社出版的译作,及张云江于2007年由九州出版社出版的译作,对比《西太平洋的航海者》第三章第一节英汉文本。对比发现两种译本基本准确传达了原文的含义,但华夏出版社译本存在一些增译、漏译及误译等问题,九州出版社译本更为准确。

Argonauts of the Western Pacific,the seminal work of economic anthropology,was written by anthropologist Bronislaw Malinowski.The accuracy of its translation affects whether the target readers can understand the Kula system and the participatory observation method advocated by Malinowski.This article tries to compare and analyze the original text and two translated versions,published by Liang Yongjia and Li Shaoming in 2002 by Huaxia Publishing House,and by Zhang Yunjiang in 2007,by Jiuzhou Press in 2007 of the first section of Chapter Three according to the functional equivalence theory.There are some problems such as additions,omissions,and mistranslations in the translated version of Huaxia Publishing House.In contrast,the translation of Jiuzhou Press is more accurate.
