基于批判性思维能力培养的大学英语阅读教学课例研究——以新视野Speaking Chinese in America为例

英语阅读教学能够培养大学生的批判性思维和逻辑性思维。文章以新视野大学英语第四册第五单元文本为例,培养学生从发现和提出问题、寻找和解答问题、评价和批判三个层次设计教学活动,引导学生理解文化成见的概念、分析成见的原因并评价和反思文本中的文化偏见,以促进学生批判性思维能力的发展。

English reading can cultivate college students’critical thinking and logical thinking.This paper takes the text of Unit 5,Book 4 from New Horizons College English as an example,and cultivates students’critical thinking from the following three levels,finding and raising questions,searching solution to the questions,evaluation and criticism.Through analysis in the text,this paper attempts to arouse students’awareness of cross-culture;rationally analyze the cultural stereotypes in the context to develop students’critical thinking.
