基于文化差异的英语教学策略

英语,作为一种国际通用语言,在如今的跨文化交流中扮演着十分重要的角色,如何学好英语一直是公众关注的焦点。然而,语言和文化从来都是息息相关,不同的语言外表下,包藏不同的文化特点,特定的文化特点也就促成了特定的语言形式。由于地理位置和发展水平的差异,不同国家和民族拥有着不同的文化、历史、习俗和信仰,沟通误会在英语交流中时有发生。所以,对英语文化背景常识有充分领会对达到良好的英语教学效果有很大促进作用。文章从日常用语、交际礼仪、价值观等方面进行中英文化差异的比较,对跨文化教学中存在的问题进行分析,并对英语教学方法提出改进意见。

English plays a very important and indispensable role in today’s society,and how to teach and learn English well has become a focus of public attention.Different language environments contain different cultural characteristics,and specific cultural characteristics contribute to specific language forms.Due to the differences in geographical location and level of development,different countries and nations have different cultures,histories,customs and beliefs,therefore,misunderstandings often occur in English communication.A full understanding of the English cultural background information has a great significance on English teaching.This paper compares the differences between Chinese and English in terms of daily language,communicative etiquette,belief,etc.,and brings about some suggestions on the measures in English teaching.
