从自然后设语义角度讨论中国文化关键词“心”的意义、可译性和文化的重要性

"心"在中文中被广泛使用,但在翻译过程中,将其翻译成英文是很困难的。因为中国语言文化博大精深,所以译者翻译时需要根据具体的语境进行翻译。文章里采取分析中国语言学、自然后设语义(Natural Semantic Metalanguage,以下简称NSM)的方法来讨论以下三个方面对于心的翻译:"心"和情感,"心"和心灵,"心"和美德,以此得出结论:心的翻译需要在特定的语境里进行,具备一定的复杂性。

In Chinese,the word,"xin"is frequently used in the daily lives of Chinese people,while there is a complexity to the translation of the word"xin".In this paper,Chinese Linguistics(CCL)、Natural Semantic Metalanguage(NSM)method will be applied to discuss and explore the meaning of this keyword and how the meaning can be translated in relation to the following three different aspects:1)"xīn"and emotions,2)"xīn"and mind,3)"xin"and virtue,Hence,the conclusion will be that translation on this‘term’would be proved complicated,which needs to be fixed in a specific context.
