关联理论视域下东盟杂志翻译探究——以《中国—东盟博览会特刊》为例

2003年10月8日,时任国务院总理温家宝在第七次中国与东盟领导人会议上倡议,从2004年起每年在中国南宁举办中国—东盟博览会,以促进中国与东盟各国之间的经济文化交流。《第14届中国—东盟博览会特刊》有中英双语两版,旨在于第14届中国—东盟博览会举办前,对本届东博会特色及参与东博会各个国家的情况进行介绍、对外宣传等。文章以该刊为例,在关联理论视域下对该刊汉译英翻译实践中的典型案例进行详细分析,探讨东盟博览会背景下杂志刊物文章英译的策略和方法,以期为此类刊物翻译及相关领域的翻译研究与实践提供一定借鉴。

On October 8,2003,the then Premier Wen Jiabao of the State Council proposed at the Seventh China-ASEAN Summit that China-ASEAN Expo be held in Nanning every year to promote economic and cultural exchanges between China and ASEAN countries.The 14 th China-ASEAN Expo is a bilingual magazine which aims to introduce and publicize the characteristics of the expo and the countries participating in the expo prior to 14 th China-ASEAN Expo.This paper,taking the magazine as an example,makes a detailed analysis of typical cases in the Chinese-English translation of the journal from the perspective of relevance theory,and discusses the strategies and methods for the translation of journal articles in the context of the ASEAN Expo,looking forward to provide some references for the translation research and practice of this kind of journals and related fields.
