《狐狸十三段》翻译技巧研究

文章围绕《狐狸十三段》的英译技巧研究展开。《狐狸十三段》是广西作家林白的女性主义小说,体现从南部小城镇到北京打拼的主人公对自身身份的困惑。本次翻译的理论指导是斯坦纳阐释学"四步骤",为信任、侵入、吸收和补偿。案例分析部分介绍此次翻译运用的翻译方法,包括转换法、合并法、添加连词法和解释法等。最后,提出翻译过程遇到的难点和局限在于"避水连台""虚实"等文化特指词的翻译。

This paper focuses on the study of translation skills of Thirteen Stories about The Fox,which is a feminist novel written by Lin Bai,a writer from Guangxi.It reflects confusion of the protagonist,who moves from a southern small town to Beijing,about her identity.The theoretical guidance of this translation is Steiner hermeneutics’fourfold translation,including trust,invasion,incorporation and compensation.The case analysis part introduces the skills used in this translation,including conversion,combination,conjunctions adding and explaining.Finally,it points out that the difficulties and limitations in the process of translation lie in the translation of culture-bound referent words such as"flood-preventing connected platform"and"the substance and the image".
