理工类大学生英语学习动机调控策略研究

本研究使用问卷调查的方式对理工类大学生的英语学习动机调控策略的使用情况进行了调查。研究对象是武汉地区4所理工类高校的大二学生,共512名大学生,研究工具为大学生英语学习动机调控策略问卷。描述性统计结果显示,理工类大学生在8种动机调控策略的使用上均达到中等或较高水平。独立样本T检验的结果表明,男生、女生在动机调控策略的使用上差异明显,女生在各项动机调控策略上的使用情况均高于男生;英语语言水平较高者在各项动机调控策略的使用上均明显高于英语语言水平较低者。

This study employs a questionnaire to explore the strategies used by science-major students to regulate their motivation in English learning.Participants were 512 sophomores from four technology universities in Wuhan.Data were collected through the questionnaire on motivational regulation strategies.Descriptive statistics show that all the eight strategies were employed by the students with medium to high frequency.Independent sample t-test shows that compared with male students,female students used the strategies more frequently,and students with high English proficiency were better than students with low English proficiency in all the strategies.
