制药与生物工程专业英语教学改革的初探与实践

工科专业英语在知识学习,技术/学术交流和科学研究中的作用举足轻重。为了提高制药与生物工程系本科生专业文献检索及专业英语的能力,文章详细地阐述了目前国内专业英语教学的现状与不足,并以《制药与生物工程英文文献检索与研读》这门课程的建设为例,提出了专业英语教学的改革思路,同时介绍了课程一学期试运行的教学模式与效果。希望通过不断的改革探索,改变现有工科专业英语的授课模式,全面提高工科专业本科生专业英语能力及综合素质,实现工程类专业英语课程的功能由知识教学向能力培养的转变。

Professional English for engineering majors plays an important role in knowledge learning,technical/academic exchange and scientific research. In order to improve the ability of professional literature retrieval and professional English for undergraduate students of pharmaceutical and biological engineering department,taking the course construction of "pharmaceutical and biological engineering English literature retrieval and study"as an example,this paper expounds the current situation and shortcomings of professional English teaching in China,puts forward the reform ideas of professional English teaching,and introduces the teaching model and effect of one semester trial operation of the course. It is hoped that through continuous reform and exploration,the existing teaching mode of Engineering English will be changed,the professional English ability and comprehensive quality of engineering undergraduates will be comprehensively improved,and the function of Engineering English courses will be changed from knowledge teaching to ability cultivation.
