除“草”垦“荒”新天地——基于人工智能发展的翻译就业市场新生态建构与前景展望

近年来,人工智能技术的迅猛发展对全球产业产生深刻影响。机器翻译以其优越性给翻译就业市场带来了产业变革的机遇与挑战。"人工智能翻译必将完全取代人工翻译"的断言不断影响着翻译就业市场的生态系统。囿于传统翻译的固化模式、高校翻译人才培养的滞后性及市场本身存在的问题,翻译之"林"逐渐"杂草丛生"。如何应对人工智能翻译带来的冲击,是当今行业内外亟须思考的问题。文章以全国高校师生(江西省高校为主)为样本调研现今人们对翻译行业发展的看法,共覆盖17个省,收到有效问卷199份。通过对比人工智能翻译与人工翻译的特征及当前行业生态环境,聚焦翻译行业生态建构问题,并从校企联合、行业规范、政策支持、多方协作四方面提出未来新生态的建构路径。

In recent years,the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology has a profound impact on the global industry. Machine translation,with its advantages,brings opportunities and challenges to the translation job market. The assertion that "artificial intelligence translation will completely replace artificial translation"constantly affects the ecosystem of translation employment market. Due to the fixed mode of traditional translation,the lag of translation talents training in colleges and universities and the problems existing in the market itself,the"forest"of translation is gradually"overgrown".How to deal with the impact of AI translation is an urgent problem in the industry. Based on the sample of teachers and students in colleges and universities( mainly in Jiangxi Province),this paper investigates people’s views on the development of translation industry,covering 17 provinces and receiving 199 valid questionnaires. By comparing the characteristics of artificial intelligence translation and artificial translation and the current industry ecological environment,this paper focuses on the ecological construction of translation industry,and puts forward the construction methods of the future new ecology from the four aspects including college-enterprise cooperation,industry norms,policy support and multi-party collaboration.
