摘要
本研究采用自定步速阅读任务,考察名词短语/内嵌子句(NP/S)和名词短语/零形式句(NP/Z)两种不同句法结构对中国学习者二语花园路径句重新分析的影响。结果发现:第一,中国学习者加工二语花园路径句时重新分析的难度与句法结构有关,NP/S的加工难度比NP/Z的更大,花园路径效应更为显著;第二,重新分析的不同难度表明,中国学习者在加工NP/S和NP/Z时分别采用了迟关闭和早关闭的加工机制。
This paper investigates the effects of two different syntactic structures,namely the NP/S and NP/Z constructions,on the reanalysis of L2 garden-path sentences by Chinese learners with a self-paced reading task.The results indicated that:(1)reanalysis difficulty of L2 garden-path sentences by Chinese learners was associated with the different syntactic structures in that they encountered greater difficulty in processing NP/S than in processing NP/Z and there emerged a clearer garden-path effect in the magnitude in processing NP/S;(2)The different difficulty of reanalysis demonstrated that Chinese learners employed different processing mechanisms:late closure for the NP/S structure and early closure for the NP/Z structure,respectively.
