In the process of TBM excavation of the Kuala Lumpur metro tunnel which is located in the limestone, the ground collapse phenomenon were frequently observed.Based on the analysis of the monitoring data of the Kuala Lumpur subway tunnel,it shows that before the ground collapse, most of the monitoring section data were normal and so did not play a role in forecasting and predicting. Therefore, this paper systematically introduces the application of high-density electrical method in Karst cave detection, and suggests that before the tunnel excavation, the geological geophysical technology should be adopted in advance to identify and detect the cave condition, and grouting reinforcement treatment should be carried out to prevent ground collapse accidents. This method has been verified in the excavation process of another running tunnel.
