5世纪上半叶宗教文化对南北方取名的影响——以元忠暨妻司马妙玉墓志为例

The Infuence of Religious Culture on the Naming of South and North in the First Half of the 5th Century:Take the Epitaph of Yuanzhong and His Wife Sima Miaoyu As An Example

本文以元忠暨妻司马妙玉墓志为例,通过对“仙德”“妙玉”“弥陀”等名、字的分析,试图探讨5世纪上半叶宗教文化,特别是佛教文化对于南、北方贵族阶层为子女取名、字之时所产生的影响。换言之,取“仙德”“弥陀”“妙玉”之字并非偶然,而是有着鲜明的时代特征与宗教色彩。

The article takes the epitaph of Yuanzhong and his wife Sima Miaoyu as an example,and tries to explore the religious culture of the first half of the 5th century,especially the influence of Buddhist culture on the South and North through the names of“Xiande”,“Miaoyu”,and“Mituo”.In other words,Buddhist culture influence the noble class when they gave their children names.It may not be accidental that the words“Xiande”,“Mi Tuo”and“Miaoyu”were taken out,but they have distinct characteristics of the times and religious colors.
