Glass Beads of Early Iron Age in Ili River Valley,Xinjiang

新疆伊犁河谷早期铁器时代出土玻璃珠以单色为主,按颜色可分为黑、白、蓝、绿、黄、无色透明六种,另有少量蚀花珠和蜻蜓眼玻璃珠,其种类单一,数量较少。伊犁河谷发现的黑、白、蓝、绿玻璃珠多为炭精、绿松石、青金石等宝(玉)石的替代品,而黄色和透明珠可能与装金珠及其仿品有关;"红色蚀花玻璃珠"未经检测,疑为蚀花红玉髓珠之误;蜻蜓眼玻璃珠则与"恶眼信仰"有一定联系。通过类型及文化因素分析可知,伊犁河谷玻璃珠除了丝路贸易的舶来品以外,还有部分可能来自新疆本地,其工艺可能是东西方玻璃技术合璧的结果。

The glass beads unearthed in the early iron age in Ili river valley of Xinjiang are mainly monochrome beads,which can be divided into six species:black,white,blue,green,yellow and colorless.There are also a small number of decorated glass beads and dragonfly eye glass beads,the variety of glass beads is single and the number is less.The whole age of Ili’s glass beads was later than the discovery of the northern edge of the Tarim basin.Based on the analysis of types and cultural factors,it can be seen that the producing area of glass beads in Ili river valley may be in the oasis zone on the north edge of Tarim basin,and its technological style is the product of the combination of eastern and western glass techniques.
