和宁撰《回疆通志》考述

A Textual Research on “General History of Huijiang” by He Ning

和宁于清嘉庆时期在山东巡抚任上获罪,被贬谪至新疆任叶尔羌帮办大臣,寻又升任喀什噶尔参赞大臣,在任期内撰写有《回疆通志》一书。正史和一些清代笔记史料中对和宁的生平记述较为简略,今人对《回疆通志》的内容和版本研究亦有待深入。本文在利用满文档案资料的基础上,详细讨论了和宁任山东巡抚期间获罪的始末,及其被贬至新疆后的任职状况,进而探讨其撰写《回疆通志》的版本问题及其史学价值。研究认为,该书前半部分较多承袭前人成果,后半部分则与作者的实地考察密切相关,详细记载了当时回疆地区的物产、风俗、历史遗迹等方面的具体情况。通过对以上问题的梳理,可以纠正前人研究的一些错误之处,以期对清代边疆史地研究有所助推。

He Ning was convicted of his post as governor of Shandong during the Jiaqing period in Qing Dynasty,and was relegated to serve as the minister of the Yeerqiang government in Xinjiang,and was promoted to the advisory minister of Kashgar.The history of Zheng Ning and some Qing dynasty notes on the life of He Ning is relatively simple,and the study of the content and edition of"Hui Jiang Tong Zhi"also needs further study.Based on the use of Manchu archives,this article discusses in detail the beginning and end of the crimes committed by He Ning during his appointment as the governor of Shandong,and his post status after being demoted to Xinjiang.Its historical value.The study believes that the first half of the book inherits the achievements of the predecessors,and the second half is closely related to the author’s field visits,detailing the specific conditions of the products,customs and historical sites in the Xinjiang area at that time.By sorting out the above problems,some mistakes of previous studies can be corrected,with a view to promoting the research on the history and geography of the border areas in the Qing Dynasty.
