荷据后期殖民当局在台湾利益集团的形成及其引发的矛盾——以台湾长官富尔堡的起落为例

The Formation of the Interest Groups of the Colonial Authorities in Taiwan in the Late Period of the Dutch Occupation and the Contradictions Caused by Them——Based on the Rise and Fall of Nicolaes Verburg,Governor of Taiwan

17世纪40年代以后,荷兰东印度公司殖民者在台湾已经成为一个强大的地方利益集团,由此引发了巴达维亚总部方面的忌惮。为了扭转荷兰在台殖民统治的衰败趋势,抑制已有自行其是之势的地方利益集团,巴达维亚方面于1649年任命富尔堡为台湾长官,意图整顿改革当地政务,由此引发了双方激烈的权力斗争,对荷据后期的台湾局势产生了重要影响。富尔堡的上任、离去和再起,均与此有着直接而密切的关系。

Right after the 1640 s,the colonists of Dutch East India Company had become a powerful local interest group in Taiwan,which had aroused the fear of Batavia headquarters.In order to reverse the declining trend of the Dutch colonial rule in Taiwan and restrain the local interest groups that had already acted their own way,Batavia appointed Nicolaes Verburg as Taiwan chief executive in 1649,intending to rectify and reform the local government affairs,which led to a fierce power struggle between the two sides,and produced an important impact on the situation in Taiwan in the later period of Dutch occupation.On the other hand,it also had a direct and close relationship with the ups and downs of Nicolaes Verburg’s career.
