The Dilemma of an Eminent Monk:Chinese Chan Master Yinyuan Longqi and His Sojourn in Fumon-ji of Japan from 1655 to 1660

This study focuses on Chinese Chan Master Yinyuan Longqi(隐元隆琦,1592-1673 CE)and his sojourn from China to Edo Japan.Although there is already excellent research on Yinyuan,there are still many primary sources related to Yinyuan and Obaku(Huangbo黄檗)tradition he founded,such as more than 5,000 poems he had written,requiring further study.
