Buddhist Communication Between China and Japan from the Perspective of the “Golden Bond” Initiated by Zhao Puchu

Twenty-one years ago,Zhao Puchu(赵朴初),the former President of the Buddhist Association of China,proposed the idea of the“Golden Bond”between Buddhist communities in China,South Korea,and Japan.This article introduces the historical background of this statement,analyzes its connotations,and reviews the communication between the Buddhist communities of China and Japan after World War II,and analyzes the significance of the communication.
