摘要
Tao-hsüan(Daoxuan 道宣) was the founder of the Nanshan School of Four-division-vinaya(南山律宗) of the T’ang(Tang) Dynasty. His native place was Wu-hsing(Wuxing 吴兴, present Hu-chou [Huzhou] 湖州 in Chekiang [Zhejiang] Province), but he is also said to be a native of Tan-t’u(Dantu 丹徒, present Chên-chiang [Zhenjiang] 镇江 in Kiangsu [Jiangsu 江苏] Province).
