胡汉交融视角下唐代胡人“胡性”的建构与认同

摘要 “胡”最早发端于华夏中原,且一直作为华夏(汉)思想的创造物而存在,其内涵与外延在不同历史时期延展不定,泛指西北地区、西亚乃至欧洲的人或物。如秦汉时期的匈奴、月氏等,魏晋南北朝至隋唐时期的中亚昭武九姓、波斯、天竺、东罗马等[1],狭义的胡则指昭武九姓粟特人[2]。同义词有“蛮”“夷”“戎”“狄”“蕃”等,但含义不同。 The conception of Hu was created in the long term contacts between central plain of China and the other regions,ethnic groups and regimes.When coming into the territory of Tang Dynasty,the Hu people either lived with their ethnic or religious groups or mixed with the Han residents,and made great attempts to settle down via changing their clothes and names,learning Chinese language and costumes,serving the courts in order to be accepted,included and recognized.During a long period of Sinicization,these Hu people demonstrated five kinds of identities of Huaxia,Tang Dynasty,culture,ethnics,family and individual,while kept their ancestral memories and ethnic connections through marriage,burial and belief.They became a distinct group of foreigners in appearances and Chinese in hearts,forming a binary unity of Chinese history which also played a part in the formation of a global history.
