加利福尼亚大学伯克利分校谭凯(Nicolas Tackett)教授的The Destruction of the Medieval Chinese Aristocracy (Cambridge,Mass.and London:the Harvard University Asia Center,2014)一书,其汉译本《中古中国门阀大族的消亡》经胡耀飞、谢宇荣二位的精心翻译和孙英刚的审校,于2017年4月由社会科学文献出版社出版。

This is a review related with Nicolas Tackett’s The Destruction of the Medieval Chinese Aristocracy.After reading it,the author thinks that Nicolas Tackett has got the key to understand the traditional Chinese aristocracy system and their developments in the Tang Dynasty while they were in a position to rise and fall with the court political changes.The author also explains why those aristocracy system disappear immediately which Nicolas Tackett had viewed in his book.Needless to say,a lot of epitaphs as evidences and its relevant analysis are the foundation of what the book has got successfully.
