古旧文献是记录人类文明的重要载体,具有独特的价值。世界各国高度重视对古旧文献的保护、开发和利用,而公共图书馆是保护和利用古旧文献的重要机构。本文研究分析了古旧文献的作用和价值,阐述了古旧文献保护和利用的必要性,在归纳总结我国公共图书馆古旧文献保护和利用现状的基础上,指出存在的问题并提出相应的解决建议,以期为我国公共图书馆保护、开发、利用古旧文献提供有益的借鉴。

Ancient literature is an important carrier to record human civilization and has unique value.Countries all over the world attach great importance to the protection,development and utilization of ancient documents,and public libraries are important institutions for the protection and utilization of ancient documents.This paper studies and analyzes the role and value of ancient documents,expounds the necessity of protecting and utilizing ancient documents,points out the existing problems and puts forward corresponding solutions on the basis of summarizing the current situation of protecting and utilizing ancient documents in public libraries in China,with a view to providing useful reference for the protection,development and utilization of ancient documents in public libraries in China.
